HOW TO LOAD WINDOWS FASTER

If you think that your windows is taking a long time to load at start-up, than there is a trick to reduce that time.

MSCONFIG

basically Msconfig allows us to modify our start-up items, it has other options too, but here we are focusing on start-up

1. Click on "START" and "RUN"

2. Type msconfig and press OK button

3. A window will open like this

4. Click on the last tab "Startup"

5.Now here we will disable all those programs which be don't want windows to load automatically. To disable any program un-check it.

CAUTION: BEFORE DISABLING ANY PROGRAM, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT PROGRAM.

For instance, In my case.... I will disable

1. GoogleUpdate  (Because I can update manually, so no need for me to set it to Auto)
2. Jusched             ( Related to Java, Because I can manually start it so no need to set it Auto)
3.GrooveMonitor (It is a tool that can be used to work collaboratively with your colleagues)

But I will not disable programs like

1. Shstat   (Required for my Antivirus,so it is important to keep it on Auto)
2. Zlclient  (Required for my firewall, Important to keep it Auto as well)
3. UpdateUI (It Automatically update my Antivirus, Important)
4. SuperAntispyware  (Spware detector, I also keep it on Auto)

If you get confused about any program, than you should do a google about it, you will get plenty of ideas about it.

So all those programs which were not essential, I disable them so that they wont auto start at startup. We can still use these programs, but for this we have to start them manually.

6. After you have made changes, Click on "Apply" and than "OK"

7. You will be required to restart you windows, for the changes to apply. Click on Restart

Next time when your windows start you will observed a difference in startup time.
